It’s often said that being in network marketing is the best self improvement course you could ever take. And it’s true! When you own your own business and are putting yourself out there day after day, you’re going to grow as a person. You’re going to have to face some of your own concerns and fears in order to see success. It’s worth it – but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. If you’re new to MLM and are passionate about success, here are three concerns that you must get over and put aside to see the results that you want.
Concern #1 – You’re worried about putting yourself out there.
If you could make money in network marketing by sitting in front of your television all day and not talking to someone it wouldn’t be called network marketing. In order to have success in your new business, you need to get out there and meet people. Whether it’s taking the time to set up a website that promotes your product and opportunity, or meeting people in your local area, it’s all about putting yourself out there. Don’t worry about what other people might think of you. Get over any fears of being exposed or being put into a place where people will be paying attention to you – that’s what you want! Success in network marketing is all about getting attention. If you’re a bit shy, just focus on what you are offering and put your personal fears aside.
Concern #2 – You hate selling
Network marketing is about selling. Period. Anyone that tells you anything differently is lying. If you’re concerned about selling or don’t consider yourself a salesperson, don’t worry. It’s all about how you think of selling. You see, most people associate selling with something that it is not. They picture pushy used car salesmen who leave people feeling like victims. If you think that selling is some big scary thing that intimidates you or that you don’t want to be associated with, you’re going to avoid it and your network marketing business is going to fail. Selling doesn’t have to be intimidating. It’s all about sharing the good news about your product or opportunity. Selling isn’t complicated – it’s simply sharing information. When you think about it like that, you can easily get over your fears of selling and share your product or opportunity with people who need what you have to offer.
Concern #3 – You’re worried people will say no.
This is another concern that you need the cold hard truth about. Some people are going to say no. In fact, there are probably going to be a lot of people who say no to what you have to offer. Don’t worry about those “no’s.” Each of those “no’s” is getting you closer to receiving a yes. When people say no they are just saying “not right now” – and that frees you up to move on and come back to them at a later date. It’s important for you to view those no’s as a good thing. Just take them in stride and you’ll be able to see the success that you want.
